Who are you?

Just a couple of guys from Western New York (Buffalo, if you MUST know). We worked retail selling leather for a few months and we both enjoyed working together. The most logical step was to work together doing what we do.... and doing it for FUN (and profit).

Aren't you guys... y'know... a little.. Um... WEIRD?

Um... Could you be a little more vague and rude!?

Officially, no one here at 'Practically Impractical Leather' is truly completely 'Vanilla Normal'. For example;

• 'Shujin Tribble' still has this perverse desire to go to the International Space Station and the Moon.... but he's afraid of heights.
• 'TieGress' doesn't want a picture of herself on the pages, but she likes the furry picture representing her (which is, admittedly, kinda racy.... you'll see it later, maybe.)
• And 'Fionn Fian'? He's a Goth living out in 'God's Country'.... Oh yeah, he's an EMT! (Don't even ASK how he starts an I.V.)

...any other questions? I mean, how strange can you get?

What about this Adult stuff? I have to protect my kids!

First off, BRAVO! You should be protecting your kids from people like us! They could borrow your Credit Card and order something from us!

In all seriousness, we here at 'Practically Impractical Leather' are unanimous in the idea that parents should be protecting their children from unwanted "naughty bits and bytes" on the net.... and since we "live" here too, we've chosen a simple attitude.

We will NOT flood "the net" with pornographic, lewd, lascivious or otherwise "dirty" pictures of our products. To be frank, we wont be able to pay for the bandwidth that it would cause. So instead, we'll only show "glamour stills" of our products.

(So if you ARE looking for lewd, lascivious or otherwise 'dirty' pictures.... "Buh-BYE!")

What can we expect from your company?

You can expect

1. A Practically Impractical product (of course)
2. Made out of Leather (primarily)
3. Constructed by hand (typically)
4. With artwork or designs that you ask for (if you asked for it)
5. For an outrageous amount of money..... (Um, lemme try that again.)
6. For a good price! (Better)

Why don't you use those special wing-ding fancy Plug-ins / Streaming Video / Client-side Applications, AVI's, Quicktime, Vivo Video, Portable Document Format (PDF) files, dBase files, Excel files, Java, Java-script, cookies, Netscape / Internet Explorer / Mosaic / Opera / Mozilla / IBrowse / AWeb / Voyager specific tags.......?

Ok, STOP! Look at what you're asking about here.

How many different computer platforms (Computer types) are there out there? If you answered "2", you REALLY need to get out more often. I can name 6 without pausing, and then I have to start thinking harder. There are just WAY too many variables out there - so to keep everybody happy (as much as possible), I have chosen to keep everything STANDARD!

That means,

• JPG pictures whenever possible - maybe PNG if that takes off
• MPG movies if necessary
• Strait HTML Code ALWAYS! (Don't get me wrong, Cascading Style Sheets seems like a nice idea, but it is just WAY too annoying. I'd rather keep everything nice and even.)

What about pictures of your mom and the dog?

Uhhh... yeah. We'll see about that a little later.
